We believe that housing is more than just protection against rain, wind and cold – a proper habitat should do also good for one's body and spirit. In building and maintaining our hotel, we are always concerned with the environment and the use of natural resources. With biological criteria in mind, we only use materials known to be safe for human health. For example, the clay plaster in the mill, the untreated spruce and larch wood in the treehouses, and the oak floorboards. Electricity for the Baumhaushotel Seemühle is generated by in-house hydropower. A large part of the water supply comes from a natural spring.
